A radio campaign launched recently by Audible.com is aimed at the listeners of the Dave Ramsey Show. Followers of the show can take advantage of the free offer by visiting audiblepodcast.com/dave. By doing so, listeners will receive 30 days of free service from Audible.com as well as a free audio book. Listeners of the show may be more inclined to enjoy audiobooks which allow “readers” to “listen” to a written publication versus reading it. This is a different experience and many consumers find they enjoy audio books a great deal.
Audible.com is a service that provides audio books which can be easily downloaded to a number of devices. New subscribers can take advantage of the free trial offer by downloading an audio book to their computer, mobile device, iPod, Kindle and any other device which supports downloadable audio books. In addition to popular titles appearing on best seller lists, Audible has an expansive library with over 85,000 titles. These include fiction, non-fiction, history, politics and podcasts.
Using the audiblepodcast.com/dave code, new users will have access to all of these titles during a 14 day free subscription to the service. The offer includes one credit which can be used to purchase most audio books and is part of what would normally be considered the “Gold Package”. Gold members pay $14.95 per month which entitles them to one credit and discounts on other purchases.
The disclaimer on Audible‘s ad says, “Get your first 14 days of the AudibleListener® Gold membership plan free, which includes one audiobook credit, plus a bonus credit. After your 30 day trial, your membership will renew each month for just $14.95 per month so you can continue to receive one audiobook credit per month plus members-only discounts on all audio purchases. A very small number of titles are more than one credit. Cancel your membership before your free trial period is up and you will not be charged. Thereafter, cancel anytime, effective the next billing cycle. Any unused audiobook credits will be lost at cancellation.”
This is a great opportunity for avid “listeners” to experience what millions of subscribers have already experienced; a new way to receive information, entertainment and knowledge.
